Module 6.2: Password checks

Using the terminal or parrot OS:

PW check: works on newer versions of homebrew and pi

brew install cracklib (if not already installed)
cracklib-check <enter password to check>
try with several passwords
optional format: echo "password123" | cracklib-check

password generator:

pwgen -sy 16 5
generates 5 strong random 16-character passwords with symbols
generate a few passwords with this

install apg: auto pw generator

brew tap jzaleski/homebrew-jzaleski
brew install apg
generate a few passwords with this

try it out:

apg -m 12 -x 16 -n 5
5 passwords between 12 and 16 characters.

Try each of these with cracklib-check at least three times
